MAINTAINING YOUR SILK SHIRT JEN
You can wash your silk shirt by hand in very warm water or washing machine on a delicate or wool program, if possible cold or at a maximum of 30°C. Do not put your silk shirt on the dryer. For drying, lay your shirt flat or hang it on a hanger. Avoid tearing the garment with spinning so as not to damage its fibers: if necessary, you can gently roll your shirt in a dry towel to absorb the excess water. If necessary, put your blouse on the back and at low temperature. Wearing a silk shirt means choosing a natural, fluid and refined material. We have been working silk in our Nature-to-wear collections since the creation of Les Ateliers de la Maille in 1979 and it is always appreciated by our customers. Composition: 95% extensible silk and 5% elasthane.
LEARN MORE ABOUT SILK
Many legends surround the silk art, whose manufacturing secret was carefully guarded by the Chinese for over 2,500 years. This subject first appeared in Europe in the 6th century thanks to the trade of the famous "Silk Road". Silk is one of the oldest natural fibers in the world, and it always makes you dream as much as you do over the centuries. Also known as the "queen of fibers", silk comes from a very fine and bright thread that, once woven, gives a very light, refined and precious fabric. Depending on the weaving, the appearance of the silk can be matte or bright. Silk has the advantage of being extremely soft but also thermoregulatory, that is, it stays warm in winter and gives a feeling of lightness and freshness in summer. It can therefore be worn throughout the year.
